  • When should I aerate and overseed my Fescue lawn?

While fescue lawns look great in Spring because it is cool and moist, by summer Fescue thins out due to high temperatures and humidity and will require aerating and overseeding in Fall.

  • How much should I water my lawn and when?

You will want to water your lawn early in the morning to give the grass time to dry before nightfall to reduce possible disease. Watering 1 to 1.5 inch of water per week is a good rule of thumb.

  • What height should I mow my lawn?

FESCUE should be mowed at 3.0- 3.5”.  Between late Spring and August we recommend mowing at the highest setting the mower offers and mow once a week. The additional height will help shade the soil thereby reducing the chance your lawn will become stressed or diseased.

BERMUDA/ZOYSIA  should be mowed at 1.5” to 2.5”. Start low with your mower height in April and gradually increase the height as the growing season progresses. Leave the grass taller in the winter months to protect against cold weather. Bermuda lawns can be scalped in early Spring to remove the excess dormant grass. Zoysia can be mowed lower but do not scalp zoysia lawns.

  • Who will be treating my lawn?

One of the advantages of being a small company is we will provide the same certified technician each treatment when possible. We feel it is important for us to know your lawn like our own lawn.

  • What if I need to know what day you are treating my lawn?

We can call, text or email you before we come to do your treatment.

  • How often are my treatments?

We will treat your yard approximately every 6-8 weeks. Occasionally weather will affect our scheduling.

  • What if it rains right after my treatment?

Most of our treatments need to dry on the grass, which only takes a few minutes, and then be watered in. This makes rain after a treatment a good thing.
